Rude Records

Rude Records is an independent label based in Europe and distributed worldwide, started approximately in 2000 in Milan, IT that counts now over 400 releases. Most of them are releases of US labels represented in Europe or part of it.

Rude Records represents Nitro Records from 2005, SideOneDummy from 2006, Hopeless Records, Punk Core and Bad Taste from 2008. Among many Rude Records markets and distributes bands such as: the Offspring, AFI, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, Sun Eats Hours, the Vandals, All Time Low, There For Tomorrow, Avenged Sevenfold, Useless ID, Blondelle, Rentokill, Guttermouth, The Gaslight Anthem.

History

Funded in 2000 was initially an independent local record label. In 2003, Rude Records got in contact with different American labels. In 2005 a collaboration with Nitro Records was established. The following year a new deal was signed with Side One Dummy Records and Rude Records is representing the label and their acts in the south of Europe. New deals with Punk Core and Bad Taste followed. Rude Records is also label managing Hopeless Records in the whole mainland Europe for early 2009. In 2007 Rude Records has licensed from Rubric Records the back catalog of Gogol Bordello for the world outside the US and Danko Jones from Bad Taste for Italy. In 2008 moreover a documentary movie for Gogol Bordello was released in the whole Europe titled The Pied Piper of Hutzovina, a Eugene Hutz journey to search for his gypsy roots. In late 2008 Useless ID new record was released in Europe & Uk, and after that Rude Records has started signing international acts for the world, or Europe. In 2011 Zebrahead were signed by Rude ( for their new album "get Nice!"), followed by Bedouin Soundclash, and The Mighty Might Bosstones by the end of the year. Rude Records is today representing over 80 bands, over 400 records and 6 labels.

Rude Records is also a publishing company and a distributor.
